How to setup Custom Domain in Blogger?
It is very easy to set up a custom domain on Blogger. If you have a free blog and you want to set up a custom domain on that blog, then follow the steps given below carefully.
You must have a custom domain for this. If you do not have a domain, then you must first buy a domain. I bought most of the domains from Godaddy.
Step 1. Add Custom Domain
1) Open blogger.com in your computer browser and login with your gmail account
2) Now go to the settings option of the blog you want to setup your custom domain
3) Now you have to go to the Publishing section and click on the Custom Domain option
4) Now you have to give the domain you bought here. Your domain must be in www.your-domain.com format. After adding, click on “Save” button.
5) Now you will see an error message “ We have not been able to verify your authority to this domain. On your domain registrar's website, locate your Domain Name System (DNS) settings and enter the following two CNAMEs: (Name: www, Destination: ghs.google.com) and (Name: hgoqq7kkum65, Destination: gv-xagazeygiefzp6.dv.googlehosted .com). See https://support.google.com/blogger/answer/1233387 for detailed instructions. This means that your domain's DNS (Domain Name System) is not set in Blogger. Here you will find 2 CNAMEs records that you need to add to your domain.
Step 2 . Verify the DNS
Your work on Blogger is over, now you have to go to Godaddy website and add CNAME
1) Go to Godaddy.com website and login to your account
2) After login, click on your profile and select the "My Products" option
3) Click on the Manage All option before Domains on the next page
4) Here you will get a list of all your domains that you want to add CNAME to the domain before you see 3-dots select it and click on the DNS option
5) On the DNS Management page you will see the ADD link below, click on it
6) Now you have to select the CNAME in Type and add the CNAME given in step 1 , this way you have to add two CNAME
Step 3. Enable Redirection
1) Now you have to go to Blogger again and click on the Save option
2) Now you will see the Redirect domain option below, enable it
Now you can see your domain address in your computer or mobile browser. It will open your website better by spreading www and www.
